With a focus on assisting people of color in the greater New Haven area to build businesses, Collab conducts outreach to connect with entrepreneurs, supports a variety of programs to help people get their business off the ground, and provides pathways for aspiring business owners to find other programming or financing sources that meet their needs.

To equip local entrepreneurs with resources and skills to build ventures that can contribute to the vibrancy of our community and harness the power they already have.

Resources & Services

Programming

Collab offers workshops, panels, and other regular programs for entrepreneurs. Collab’s 10-week accelerator program covers topics such as funding, mentoring, leadership training, and education. In addition, office staff invite entrepreneurs to come in for a 30-minute “deep dive” into their venture.

Venture Collaborations

Collab regularly offers venture collaborations with aspiring businesses, providing those whose applications are selected with seed funding, mentorship, education, and other resources. A Food Business Accelerator, a partnership with CitySeed, supports those looking to start a business in the food service industry.
