Connecticut Innovations (CI) is Connecticut’s strategic venture capital arm and the leading source of financing and ongoing support for innovative, growing companies. CI works to ensure financial security through equity investments and strategic guidance, while also providing networking connections and mentorships from business advisers.

Resources & Services

Funding

  • Venture solutions – If you meet CI investment criteria, you’ll be recommended the fund that best fits your needs. Options include equity financing, the Connecticut Bioscience Innovation Fund, and a Pre-Seed Fund
  • Lending solutions – Capital Access for Business (CAB) provides banks with a first loss guaranty in order to help small businesses obtain financing. CI also oversees a loan program allowing companies to borrow up to $150,000 in a low-interest loan
  • Grant offerings – A variety of options including grants targeted at specific business sectors as well as initiatives such as the Entrepreneur Innovation Awards
