About

Launched in 2003 as a statewide initiative of the MetroHartford Alliance, Connecticut Insurance and Financial Services includes 32 member agencies working to strengthen this sector in the state. IFS seeks to make Connecticut competitive in attracting and retaining insurance and financial businesses, sustain the recruitment and education of trained workers, and improve public awareness of the insurance and financial industry.

Resources & Services

Education and Workforce Development

IFS supports a variety of initiatives to train workers to enter the insurance and finance industry. These include the Actuarial Boot Camp, an interactive experience introducing students to this profession; a college preparatory class for students looking to pursue careers in the industry; and an annual career fair to connect recent college graduates with internships and job opportunities.
