About

A partnership between Connecticut Innovations and the University of Bridgeport, the CTech IncUBator is located on UB’s main campus and focuses on high-tech startups. The incubator works to assist new technology businesses, with the additional goals of fostering regional economic growth and supporting UB’s applied research and intellectual property initiatives.

Startups focusing on high-tech fields, especially those in the Fairfield County or greater Bridgeport area.

To assist in commercializing new technologies, create jobs and foster regional economic development.

Resources & Services

University Resources

Participants in the CTech IncUBator get access to campus facilities, including fully furnished offices with favorable market rents, shared support services, and amenities such as the school’s recreation center and coffee bar. They can also take advantage of a flexible research platform offered through the university’s Schools of Engineering, Business, Health Sciences, and the Shintaro Akatsu School of Design.

Professional Services

Companies receive discounted or pro bono professional services in areas such as legal, accounting, intellectual property, technology, product commercialization, and SCORE advisors.

Networking

The CTech IncUBator is located in an entrepreneurial environment designed to encourage an open exchange of ideas and information. Companies can connect to faculty members and student interns, and can also be introduced to potential investors.

Financing

Companies receive introductions to pre-seed and seed funding programs, along with access to public and private grant opportunities.
