About

Originally founded in 1794 to protect local shipping from French and British privateers, the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce has grown to represent the needs of the greater New Haven business community. The chamber offers numerous resources to these businesses, including a leadership center and a robust speakers’ series, as well as a regional economic development initiative.

Resources

Resources offered through the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce include leadership programs, a Trusted Advisors Program providing consulting sessions from chamber members, networking and marketing opportunities, and a Speakers’ Bureau inviting you to find a presenter or lend your own expertise. Several councils and committees at GNHCC cover topics like small business, technology, energy, and human resources. The chamber’s annual Big Connect event serves as Connecticut’s premier B2B expo.

Co-Working Concierge Service

The GNHCC’s Co-Working Concierge Service is a shared office space with amenities such as high-speed WiFi, a conference room, shared workspace, and access to educational seminars. The space allows new companies to meet clients while presenting a professional image.

Economic Development

GNHCC’s Economic Development Initiative works with local businesses to gather feedback, provide resources, and create partnerships. Its goals are to attract and retain businesses, support workforce development, and support diversity and inclusion.
