About

A regional coalition of environmental and justice organizations, academic and research institutions, business alliances, and labor unions advocating for offshore wind development in New England waters to grow the region’s economy, meet its energy needs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The group seeks to encourage collaboration among New England governors and legislatures to build support for timely, responsible development of these wind farms.

Who’s it for?

Any businesses working in offshore wind development or the supply chains involved in these wind farms, or businesses who wish to support this initiative.

Mission

We are committed to combatting climate change by increasing the supply of clean energy to our regional grid through more procurements of responsibly-developed offshore wind. We believe that responsibly-developed offshore wind is the single biggest lever we can pull to address the climate crisis while also strengthening our regional economy, protecting ratepayers, creating prevailing-wage jobs, and improving public health by reducing pollution. A transition to a clean energy economy through offshore wind must be done in an equitable way. Our coalition advocates at the state and regional levels and aims to drive New England governors and legislatures to make commitments by 2022 to power one-third of our region with offshore wind.
