About

Created in 2016 as part of an “Innovation Places” initiative under CTNext, the New Haven Innovation Collaborative involves a local advisory team providing grant funding to catalyze growth in technology and entrepreneurship. It has developed a new process to solicit public input for its economic development strategies, using five broad questions to help determine priorities.

Resources & Services

Tech Talent Development

NHIC supports initiatives that help train residents for job opportunities in areas such as biosciences, software, and inclusive computer skills. The programs help improve access to good careers, support and retain companies who want to hire employees, and assist residents in launching their own ventures.

Shared Facilities

NHIC helps link entrepreneurs with shared facilities, providing access to commercial space and equipment that would otherwise be prohibitively expensive. Facilities include fabrication space, commercial kitchens, and life sciences facilities.

Entrepreneurial Support

Several programs are available offering programs, services, seed funding, and other support to assist early-stage companies and help established companies grow.
